Unfortunately it seems no answer yet. It would help me immensely to have the reply window at the top of the screen and the history of emails go from top/newest to bottom/oldest. Otherwise it's just a drag on my time to scroll to the bottom just to see the most recent email and to reply.
I havta assume that this is an advantage for Google vs. the user. (And I know.. gmail is free... And it's Google's...) Though could anyone mention any useful reason that the newest information is at the bottom - I'm an old dog but I do like learning new things - just slow at it...
